Who is welcome?
Everyone! Welcome! As with Just TAP, the content is designed for adult viewers, but is also appropriate for younger tappers. It’s recommended that students have covered the fundamentals of tap dance, and have some experience learning combinations (what we call ‘Advanced Beginner’). If you’ve completed Just TAP: How To Tap For Advanced Beginners (course two), then the Bootcamp is crafted to pick up right where we left off. For first-time tappers, Just TAP: How to Tap Dance for Absolute Beginners (course one) is still the best starting point.
What do I need?
As with Just TAP, only yourself and a willingness to commit to both the learning process and to the enjoyment of the learning process (tap simply doesn’t work if you’re not having fun). Tap shoes are 100% recommended, but not 100% necessary to having a wonderful, fulfilling experience with the Bootcamp. All the content is designed to be learned and practiced in a small space (if not a living room, then a bedroom, garage, home office, etc); a minimum of 1m x 1m (3ft x 3ft) is required. We talk about setting up your practice space (and clever flooring options) in the very first video.
I’m not very tech-savvy. Is the Bootcamp for me? What technology will I need?
Don’t worry – in the weeks leading up to the Bootcamp, we’ll walk you through all the steps required to get everything setup, so that you’re all set and ready to roll with access to the content (video and written), the community group, and the weekly community video calls. In addition to the recommendations for practice space above, as long as you have a computer, tablet or smartphone (with internet access, of course), we’ll talk you through the rest.
How are the lessons delivered?
All students will receive online access to a ‘Bootcamp Library’, where the video lessons and supporting documentation are released at the beginning of each week (viewable across devices). Lessons are filmed from the back (as if you were taking an in-person class with Bill). Lessons are pre-recorded to guarantee video quality, as well as avoid internet drop-outs and sound-syncing annoyances.
What is the time commitment required?
Students will require an average of 70 minutes each week to dedicate to the video learning content. Students are also recommended to allocate 15-90 minutes per day for practice over the 6 weeks (this number is flexible and naturally differs from student to student). One of the first things talked about in the Bootcamp is finding / creating your ideal practice routine.
How long will I have access to the material for?
Students will have access to the video content for a minimum of 45 days after completing the Bootcamp (an additional 6 weeks), with an option to extend access to the content if required. But remember —> Not to be shelved. The Bootcamp has been crafted to deliver real results when committed to across a 6-week timeline. Only register for the Bootcamp if you fully intend to take part.
How does the community group work?
The community group is a super-fun, engaging way of staying connected with Bill, the team and your fellow Bootcampers across the 6 weeks. The group is managed by our dedicated group concierge (Bill will be there also, regularly posting updates, messages and other motivational wonders). Students will receive an invitation to access this hidden group via Facebook.
Is it mandatory I participate in the community group?
Not at all, but we highly recommended it for all students. It’s a great, introvert-friendly place to connect directly with the team (and each other!), ask questions, share celebrations, struggles and progress, and to receive feedback. We hope you join us, but totally support you if you choose not to.

Can I join the Bootcamp after the sign-up window has closed?
It’s important to us that each person who signs up for the Bootcamp is given the best possible experience with the structured material. As such, once the sign-up window has closed, no additional students will be accepted.
